Ron Carver worked with the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC in the early 1960s. From 1969–71 he coordinated support for the GI antiwar movement, helping soldiers tell their stories in underground newspapers. For decades Carver has directed campaigns for labor unions. He has also produced award-winning documentary films. Carver curated the exhibition Waging Peace for the War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
